War Master is a small real-time strategy game built around a simple exchange: gather money, turn it into soldiers, and push them at the other side. Each level puts you on a green field with an enemy base to take down, and the whole thing is played with the mouse. It loads in the page, so there is nothing to install.

A level tends to start quietly. You collect coins on the field first, and those coins decide how big an army you can afford. Then you spend them on the unit tiles, build up a force and send it toward the enemy. When the level is cleared, the battle pays out, and that money goes back into upgrades before the next fight.

If you came to Stick War for the feeling of building a force and watching it collide with the enemy, this scratches the same itch on a much smaller scale. It is quick to pick up and does not ask you to manage a whole economy.

How to play

The game is mostly mouse. Choose a unit or tower from the bar, then click where it should go. To send troops, click a castle. You spend what each battle pays on upgrades.

• Collect the coins first. Money is what limits your army.
• Click a unit tile on the bar to buy or pick it, then click the field to place it.
• Click a castle to send troops toward the enemy base.
• Clear the enemy base to finish the level, then upgrade before starting the next.

Tips

• Do not spend everything the moment you can. A larger group sent together is usually better than a trickle of single units.
• Use the payout between levels on upgrades, because they carry forward and make later levels easier.
• If a level stalls, look at what the enemy is fielding and change your mix of units and towers rather than sending the same thing again.
