Stick War 2: Order Empire is a real-time strategy game played entirely with stick figures. You command the Order nation, which has been left as the last empire standing, while the rival nations from the first game return as rebels who want it back. It is a sequel to the game the site is named after, so the core idea will feel familiar: mine gold, build an army, and destroy the enemy statue.

What changes is the scale. Instead of one skirmish after another, the sequel wraps the fighting in a campaign map. You pick a territory, fight the battle for it, and carry your progress forward. A session can be a single battle of ten minutes or a longer push across the map, and the game keeps a save slot so you can stop and return.

If you came to this site for the original Stick War, this is the natural next step. It keeps the same unit families, Swordwrath, Archidons, Speartons, Magikill and Giants, but adds more to manage on the battlefield.

How to play

From the menu press Play Campaign, then New Game, and choose Normal, Hard or Insane. Skip Intro sits at the bottom if you have seen the opening. On the map, click the banner to start a battle.

In a battle you use the mouse. Drag a box over your units to select them, then click a point to send them there or click an enemy to attack. The bar at the bottom is where you train new units, and training costs gold, so miners come first. Each unit has a different job: Swordwrath are cheap front-line melee, Archidons shoot from behind them, Speartons hold and hit hard at close range, Magikill cast spells, and Giants soak damage and smash through groups.

A round usually follows a rhythm. Open by training miners so the gold keeps flowing, add a few Swordwrath to keep the front line safe, then broaden the army as income grows. Winning means destroying the enemy statue; losing yours ends the battle.

Tips

  • Do not over-build fighters early. An army with no income stalls, so keep enough miners working before you spend on a large force.
  • Mix ranged units with a front line. Archers are strong only while something is standing in front of them.
  • Pull damaged units back rather than sending them into the fight one by one; losing units for nothing costs gold you cannot easily replace.
  • If Normal feels easy, Hard and Insane change how aggressive the enemy is, so it is worth learning the flow of a battle on Normal first.

Similar games on Stick War

The original Stick War is the simpler game to start with if you want the basics. War of Sticks and Stickman Army: The Defenders are other army-versus-army games with their own take on unit management, while King Rugni Tower Conquest and Era Evolution lean toward tower and era-progression play. Backpack Battles, in contrast, is more about building a loadout than commanding units.

The game runs in the browser with nothing to install, and it suits players who like planning: it rewards patience more than quick reflexes, though a mouse is far more comfortable than a trackpad or touch screen for box-selecting units.
